Yesterday was one of the hardest days for me, in a long, long time. I had to say farewell to my beautiful Midnite. He shared my space with me for 16 years, he was the prince of his domain. He had his other two buddies, Hollywood and Baby, but he was definitely the prince. Midnite came to me as a wee little kitten, he was so tiny he fit in the palm of my hand. He lived well, had a good life, and gave me joy. But age got him and he deteriorated so rapidly, breaks my heart. But as a pet owner, we have to consider the quality of life, and his was gone. He had 16 wonderful years. Rest in peace my darling Midnite, you are in cat heaven now. I will always miss you.

What a handsome boy! So sorry for your loss. I have one waiting for me at the rainbow bridge too and I miss him still, despite having 8 other hooligans still with me.
Thank you, I have my other 2, but his absence is so apparent.
My thoughts go out to you. I had to do the same thing to my cat 3 years ago and I still to this day think of him very often. It is the right thing for caring pet owners to do, but it still breaks my heart. Midnight will have fun playing with all the other cat angels.

My heart goes out to you. Your loss brings back reminders of the "fur babies" that have made my life a better place and I hope that I gave them as much love as they bestowed on me.
The loneliness it brought to not only me, but their "fur siblings" was hard. For one, how do you comfort a little girl who has lost her litter-mate brother. I had never been so at a loss in my life as when Gremlin died and Xel-Ha morned him.
Thank you for your kind words, it is very difficult. I still expect him to come around the corner and give me that look and meow. My other 2 cats are a little disoriented too. Will take a while I suppose.
I understand that awful feeling of loss having suffered the same thing but remember the happy times and how much Midnite loved you

So sorry you had to say goodbye to your precious Midnight, I have a cat Jackie that looks exactly like him, sleek & shinny, he is beautiful too just like your Midnight.
